Advanced Woodwork Bench

Our new in house designed Advanced Wood Work bench is a result of re designing the traditional wood work bench and addressing all the limitations of the Traditional bench. We have not changed the top area of the bench. We re-designed the frame using heavy duty tubular steel.
The result being we could use straight legs to the floor and relocating them in order to maxamise distance between the legs. This means the students have more room when both students are sitting side by side. This is clearly seen in the images below. The distance between the students now has increased by 320mm.
Using a metal frame also means that there is no mortice and tennon joints to loosen (Bench becomes “wobbely”) as the timber frame dries over the years. We offer a life time warranty on the frame of the bench.
We also increased the height of the bench by 50mm this gives the students more legroom clearance under the bench. This also means that the students can use standard 600mm high stools.
The old traditional timber bench stop has been replaced with a new Cast alloy flush mounted bench stop. The top of the bench is constructed out of 40 mm thick Scots Pine.
