Delivery

All Peter Walsh & Sons furniture is delivered fully assembled. Please ensure you carefully check the dimensions of your chosen items to confirm they will fit through all access points (doorways, hallways, and elevators if applicable) before placing your order.

Our Delivery Service:

  • We exclusively use our own modern delivery vehicles operated by our professional, trained drivers.
  • Standard deliveries are handled by a one-person delivery team.
  • All deliveries are made to ground floor locations only, unless prior arrangements have been confirmed.
  • We will provide you with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to delivery, including an estimated delivery window
  • We practice sustainable packaging solutions and will remove/dispose of packaging materials upon request
  • All furniture is carefully protected during transit using heavy-duty transport blankets, significantly reducing our environmental impact
  • Safety is our priority – all vehicles feature high-quality reversing cameras as standard
  • Upon request, we can provide safety cones and barrier tape to create secure unloading zones

Special Delivery Requirements:

  • For heavy or bulky items requiring upper floor delivery:
  • All deliveries to active building/construction sites:
    • Must be pre-approved by our office at least 48 hours in advance
    • Require safe, clear access to the delivery point
    • May be subject to additional safety requirements
  • School and educational institution deliveries:
    • Are scheduled to avoid busy periods (typically between 8-9am and 12-1pm)
    • May require after-hours delivery by special arrangement

Installation Services:

  • Basic placement of furniture in one room is included
  • Full assembly or complex installation services:
    • Must be agreed with our office at time of ordering
    • May incur additional charges
    • Require clear access and preparation of the installation area
  • We cannot undertake electrical, plumbing, or structural work

Delivery Timeframes:

  • Standard lead time is approximately 10 working days from order confirmation
  • During our peak season (June-August), delivery times may extend to 14-21 days
  • Exact delivery dates depend on:
    • Vehicle availability in your area
    • Product availability
    • Seasonal demand
  • You will receive a courtesy call or message 24 hours before your scheduled delivery with an estimated time window
  • You can check your order status at any time by contacting our sales office
